Welcome to St. Mark's website! As you will see, good things are happening.

Saint Mark's is making real progress: on the horizon will be our permanent "church home" and new, much younger clergy in the parish!

Our first church service was on June 20, 2010, and since that initial gathering of twenty men, women and children, we have gradually grown to a membership of sixty, still very much a loving family in Christ. We were formally inaugurated by Archbishop Provence on July 28 of that year. Then, in the summer of 2011, we had our memorable gathering for the Congress of Traditional Anglicans, drawn from various church bodies in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K.

Since last fall we have been privileged to have Father Peter Sandercock as Associate Rector. He and I trade places Sunday by Sunday: one is the Gospeller and Preacher, and the other is the Celebrant for Holy Eucharist. Until Peter and Diane Sandercock are able to move to Victoria, I will continue to carry on the daily ministry of the Church. When they are nicely settled here, we shall be able to expand the Church program, and at the same time for the benefit of this "80-something," the shared duties will be a great help. We very much enjoy having the Sandercocks with us, and His Reverence's witty sermons - although he would not want me to say so!

Ours is a modest little church, which we set up for each Sunday, pending our eventual "settling in" to our church home, but we are very much a family. If you are looking for a family in Christ, we certainly invite you to join us.

Continues to cherish the Anglican Tradition.

We are a Christ-centered church, with a commitment to the New Testament faith believed from Apostolic times. We love our spiritual heritage, the incomparable liturgy bequeathed to us. We accept the Solemn Declaration in the Prayer Book (look it up, page viii), the Holy Scriptures, and the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion. We are not “old fashioned,” but “classic.”

We are a close-knit church family seeking to live the life of Christian love and fellowship. We follow in the timeless ways that made the Church the God-given resource for daily living, to strengthen us spiritually for the challenges we all face.

We invite you to attend our Book of Common Prayer Holy Eurcharist at 10:30 AM on Sundays at 1620 Fernwood Avenue (near Pandora). Parking on Balmoral St., Pandora Avenur, or nearby. We have a small Sunday School, which meets at the same time.

We have services during the week as announced, but principally on Wednesday mornings at 11 AM, currently at 502-1157 Fairfield Road.
